As a qualified counsellor, I am a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As well as working in private practice I also work as a counsellor for Buckinghamshire Mind.
For many people there are times when life gets difficult and a way ahead hard to find, those are the times when having someone to talk to can help. That person can be a close friend or a family member; someone you trust.
But then there are times when for one reason or another it might not be appropriate to seek support from our friends or family, it is often at times like these that talking to someone who is qualified, independent and experienced could give you a different perspective on things, and that's really what counselling is about.
As a full member of the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy I usually work from my home in Sarratt near Watford, I am also able to see people in Aylesbury and st Albans. I work with people in an open ended way or over an agreed time period, usually six to eight weeks, depending on what you are looking for.
The problems I have experience in helping with are: -

Anxiety.
Depression.
Bereavement.
Sexual Abuse.
Panic attacks.
Physical abuse.
Difficulties at work.
Relationship Problems.
Childhood emotional neglect.
And experiencing life dificulties.
